How phonetic Assamese typing works
Spell each word the way it sounds using English letters. Vowels after a consonant become vowel signs automatically, consonants typed together join into conjuncts, and “o” stands for the inherent vowel. Capital letters give the retroflex and other special sounds (T for ট, t for ত).
