Translate English and Assamese in seconds
Assamese (অসমীয়া) is written in the Assamese script, which shares most letters with Bengali but has its own letters such as ৰ (ra) and ৱ (wa). This translator works in both directions: English to Assamese for writing messages, notices or captions, and Assamese to English when you need to understand a letter, news article or WhatsApp forward.
How to use it
- The left box is the language you are translating from. Press “Swap” to change direction.
- Type or paste up to 1,500 characters. For longer text, translate one paragraph at a time.
- Press “Translate” (or Ctrl + Enter on a computer), then use “Copy” to copy the result.
Tips for better translations
- Write short, complete sentences. Machine translation struggles with long sentences and missing punctuation.
- Avoid slang and abbreviations like “u”, “pls” or “thx”.
- Check names of people and places — they are sometimes translated literally instead of kept as names.
- If a result looks wrong, try saying the same thing in a simpler way.
When not to rely on machine translation
Do not use it on its own for legal documents, medical instructions, official applications or exam answers. It is a quick helper for understanding and drafting, not a replacement for a human translator. Read our disclaimer.
