How to play Sudoku

Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once. Some numbers are already given; use them to work out the rest. There is no guessing needed — each puzzle has exactly one solution that can be found with logic.

Tips for beginners

  • Start with rows, columns or boxes that already have many numbers filled in.
  • Pick a number, say 5, and look for the one place it can go in each box.
  • Tap any filled cell to highlight every matching number on the board.
  • Wrong numbers turn red, so you can correct them straight away.

Racing with friends

Create a room with “Play with a friend” and share the link in your family or friends’ WhatsApp group. Each player’s timer starts when they open the link, and the progress bars show who is ahead. It is a fun way to keep your mind sharp together, whether you are in Guwahati, Dibrugarh or anywhere else.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. The game runs in your browser on any phone or computer. Your progress is saved on your own device, so you can close the page and continue later.

Can other players see my answers?

No. Other players only see how many cells you have filled correctly and your finish time — never the numbers you entered.

What do the difficulty levels mean?

Easy puzzles start with about 40 numbers filled in, medium with about 32 and hard with about 26. Every puzzle has exactly one correct solution.
